Geoff Simiyu vs Xavier Riva

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at Docklands Stadium, Melbourne,  taking place on 12/12/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the WRBC Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on SBS1, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Geoff The Lion Simiyu (20(13) - 1) who hails from Brisbane, Australia and El Rio Xavier Riva(46(33) - 4 - 1) from Santa Clara, Cuba.  Both Simiyu and Riva weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Michael Castellaw, and the three ringside judges are Callum Mairs, Kyle Hinshaw and John Lewis.
