Takeo Tominaga vs Mikio Shimamoto

Boxing Daily Report from the Shungwa Promotions promoted show at Matsudo Seto, Matsudo,  taking place on 27/11/2043:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Chiba Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Takeo Tominaga (7 - 31 - 2) who hails from Ichikawa, Japan and Mikio Shimamoto(5 - 9 - 4) from Matsudo, Japan.  Both Tominaga and Shimamoto weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kenji Aoyama, and the three ringside judges are Hisoka Nakamura, Yoshi Nomura and Hisoka Nakamura.  

Round 1: 

Shimamoto switches the action to the outside.  Tominaga connects with an overhand right.  
Shimamoto tries to keep the action at long range.  Tominaga attempts to land an overhand right, but Shimamoto parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Tominaga switches the action to the outside.  Tominaga sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Tominaga sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a cross followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Tominaga hits home with a left uppercut.  
Shimamoto advances into close range.  Shimamoto sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Tominaga is on target with a left hook.  
Tominaga attempts to land an overhand right, but Shimamoto sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents body.

Shimamoto is on target with a left hook.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Tominaga dabs at his face checking for damage.

Shimamoto is looking to close the distance and forces Tominaga to back into the ropes.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Shimamoto dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Tominaga sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Shimamoto lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Tominaga connects with a left hook.  
Shimamoto sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Shimamoto walks Tominaga into a corner.  Shimamoto pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a left uppercut.  
Shimamoto is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.

Shimamoto forces Tominaga to retreat onto the ropes.  Shimamoto lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Shimamoto advances into close range.  Shimamoto drives a right hook into Tominaga's ribs.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Shimamoto has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Tominaga is looking to keep his distance and lands a cross.  
Shimamoto steps inside.  Tominaga sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Shimamoto is on target with a left hook.  
Tominaga tries to step out of his opponents range.  Tominaga drops his guard, and stalks his opponent...he wants his opponent to throw a shot.  Shimamoto goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref stops the action and gives Tominaga time to recover.
