Ian Lanman vs Alex McNicol

Boxing Daily Report from the Ringside Promotions promoted show at Toyota Park, Chicago,  taking place on 01/01/2044:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the IRBF Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on HBO, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Ian Lanman (24(22) - 3) who hails from Toronto, Canada and Alex McNicol(41(29) - 6(3) - 2) from Aberdeen, UK.  Both Lanman and McNicol weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ewan Humphries, and the three ringside judges are Will Cockburn, Harry Comb and Bob MacRae.  

Round 1: 

McNicol is looking to keep his distance and throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a stinging left uppercut.  
Lanman gets on the inside.  McNicol attempts to land a right hook, but Lanman blocks the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Lanman pivots to the left of his opponent and lands two right hook's to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
McNicol is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Lanman attempts to land a cross, but McNicol slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Lanman lands with a ramrod jab.  
Lanman gets on the inside.  McNicol is on target with a right hook.  
Lanman steps inside and lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a right uppercut to the head.  
Lanman lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the head.  Lanman attempts to land a left hook, but McNicol slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
McNicol switches the action to the outside and tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Lanman sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Lanman connects with a cross.  Lanman throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm right hook.  
McNicol sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Lanman lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Lanman gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by two left uppercut's to the head.  
McNicol quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  McNicol connects with a right hook.  McNicol throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a solid left hook to McNicol's body.  
Lanman lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Lanman closes the distance and manages to force McNicol onto the ropes.  Lanman is on target with a right hook.  
Lanman lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
McNicol switches the action to the outside.  Lanman hits home with a cross.  
Lanman lands a cross.  
Lanman lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
McNicol steps to the outside and lands a cross, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
McNicol pivots from in front of his opponent.  Lanman lands a stinging cross.  
McNicol steps to the outside and lands a cross to the head, a cross to the body and a jab to the head.  
McNicol forces Lanman to back into the ropes.  Lanman hits home with a cross.  
McNicol steps away from his opponent and lands with a ramrod jab.  
Lanman lands a solid jab.

Lanman closes the distance.  McNicol sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Lanman lands a right hook to the head followed by two left hook's to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  McNicol recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...McNicol's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  McNicol's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Lanman pivots to the side of his opponent.  Lanman lands a right uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  Lanman attempts to land a right hook, but McNicol sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Lanman lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
McNicol lands a jab to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
McNicol tries to keep the action at long range.  McNicol sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  McNicol lands a ramrod jab.  McNicol attempts to land a jab, but Lanman blocks the shot and counters with a FEROCIOUS right hook.  MCNICOL IS HURT!  McNicol quickly recovers. 
McNicol sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Lanman lands two left hook's to the body followed by a jab to the head.  Lanman tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp left hook.  
Lanman gets on the inside.  McNicol connects with a left hook.

Lanman closes the distance.  McNicol lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.

Lanman closes the distance and lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the head, AND DROPS MCNICOL!  He is unable to get up before the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Lanman!
