Floyd Whittum vs Wayne Humphries

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Missouri promoted show at Marriott Crystal Ballroom, St. Louis,  taking place on 08/12/2043:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Mid West Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Floyd Whittum (14(8) - 0) who hails from Kansas City, USA and Wayne Humphries(43(6) - 9(4) - 1) from Des Moines, USA.  Both Whittum and Humphries weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Gethin Rodgers, and the three ringside judges are Kris Hogge, Amon Ormond and William Harkins.  

Round 1: 

Whittum gets on the inside.  Humphries retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Whittum steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  Whittum lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.

Humphries is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Whittum connects with a solid cross.  
Humphries lands a jab.  
Whittum lands a cross to the head followed by two right hook's to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Humphries recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Whittum advances into close range and drives a right hook into Humphries's body.  
Whittum closes the distance and lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body.  
Whittum sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Humphries hits home with a cross.  Humphries throws a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut to Humphries's body.

Whittum quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a stinging left hook into Humphries's body.  Whittum wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Humphries dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Whittum tries to land a right hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

Whittum is on target with a FEROCIOUS cross.  HUMPHRIES IS HURT!  Humphries almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Whittum quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and strikes his opponents body with a cross.
