David Lish vs Peter Potts

Boxing Daily Report from the Ringside Promotions promoted show at Toyota Park, Chicago,  taking place on 01/01/2044:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Americas Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on HBO, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are David Lish (29(26) - 3(2)) who hails from Kingston, Jamaica and Peter Potts(30(19) - 9(4) - 3) from Montreal, Canada.  Both Lish and Potts weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Harry Comb, and the three ringside judges are Will Cockburn, Ewan Humphries and Bob MacRae.  

Round 1: 

Lish hits home with a sharp cross.  
Lish lands a right hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a jab to the head.

Lish switches the action to the outside and hits home with a sharp overhand right.

Potts sidesteps to the right of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Lish is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a cross to Potts's body.

Potts walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Lish lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Lish switches the action to the outside and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES POTTS!  He manages to get up at 6.  
Lish stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Lish lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS POTTS SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 9.  It looks like Potts has now recovered from that shot earlier.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Lish's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Potts's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work. Lish switches the action to the outside and lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  He then lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Potts sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Lish lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Potts recovers before his opponent can take advantage.
