Charles Leblanc vs Aleksei Melnikoff

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at RheinEnergieStadium, Cologne,  taking place on 05/12/2043:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky Sport Deutschland, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Charles Leblanc (8(5) - 1) who hails from Marseille, France and Aleksei Melnikoff(7 - 2 - 2) from Lviv, Ukraine.  Both Leblanc and Melnikoff weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ivo Saltzer, and the three ringside judges are Lambert Henzel, Alhsom Adamy and Baldwin Kuck.

Leblanc tries to land a right uppercut, but Melnikoff blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Melnikoff forces Leblanc to retreat onto the ropes.  Melnikoff pivots from in front of his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Leblanc sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Melnikoff is on target with a jab.  
Leblanc is looking to keep his distance and hits home with a solid overhand right.  
Leblanc quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Melnikoff lands a left hook.  
Melnikoff is starting to lose his head here!    He throws a hook, and catches Leblanc low!  The ref separates the two fighters and tells Melnikoff to keep his punches up.  He gives Leblanc a few minutes to recover.  
Melnikoff forces Leblanc to retreat onto the ropes.  Melnikoff is clearly losing his cool here!   He throws a low uppercut...that landed well below the belt! The ref tells Melnikoff to keep his punches above the belt.  He gives Leblanc time to recover.

Leblanc slams a spiteful right hook into Melnikoff's ribcage.  MELNIKOFF WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Leblanc throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Leblanc knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Leblanc lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, KNOCKING MELNIKOFF DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Melnikoff now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.

Melnikoff walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Leblanc senses Melnikoff is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Leblanc lands a right uppercut to the head, a cross to the head and a right hook to the body, AND KNOCKS MELNIKOFF DOWN!  He makes it to one knee, but is unable to rise any further as the ref counts 10!  The winner by KO is Leblanc!
