Dean McGrath vs Ross Markey

Boxing Daily Report from the Iain Llewellyn promoted show at CotW Trinity, Dublin,  taking place on 26/11/2043:

Clearly Iain Llewellyn have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Dean McGrath (1 - 0) who hails from Cork, Ireland and Ross Markey(1 - 0) from Dublin, Ireland.  Both McGrath and Markey weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Lee Beirne, and the three ringside judges are Joshua McColl, Conor Whalen and Leon Mohan.  

Round 1: 

McGrath throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  McGrath ties up his opponent.  McGrath is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
McGrath manouvers his opponent into the corner.  McGrath sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
McGrath is on target with a left uppercut.  As Markey tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as McGrath dabs at his face checking for damage.  McGrath has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
McGrath sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  McGrath lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  McGrath clinches his opponent.  McGrath uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Markey's kidney. The referee separates the two fighters and warns McGrath.  
Markey tries to step out of his opponents range.  McGrath connects with a cross.  
McGrath lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
McGrath is looking to close the distance and walks his opponent into a corner.  McGrath lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
McGrath hits home with a right hook.  
McGrath closes the distance and is on target with a right hook.  
McGrath drives a left hook into Markey's liver.  McGrath clinches his opponent.  McGrath pushes his forearm into Markey's face.  The referee warns McGrath and breaks the clinch.  
McGrath lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.

Markey tries to step out of his opponents range.  McGrath sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands with a spiteful jab.  
McGrath connects with a left hook.  
Markey tries to keep the action at long range.  McGrath lands with a solid jab.  McGrath tries to land a jab, but Markey parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
McGrath lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Markey pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
McGrath lands a left uppercut.  
McGrath pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
McGrath gets on the inside and lands a right hook.  
McGrath lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Markey steps away from his opponent.  McGrath lands a double jab to his opponents head.  McGrath attempts to land a jab, but Markey sidesteps and counters with a left hook.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to McGrath.  The foul has worsened the damage  around the right eye.
