Lee Rafferty vs Ronan Hanegan

Boxing Daily Report from the AI UK-Northern Ireland promoted show at Bangor MacClery, Bangor,  taking place on 17/12/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the British-Northern Ireland Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Lee Rafferty (4 - 1 - 3) who hails from Bangor, UK and Ronan Hanegan(20(7) - 14(1)) from Londonderry, UK.  Both Rafferty and Hanegan weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Paul Sheridan, and the three ringside judges are David Hastie, Josh Brannon and Eoin McPhee.

Hanegan lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  Hanegan ties up his opponent.  Hanegan leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.

Hanegan closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
Hanegan is on target with a right hook.  Hanegan clinches his opponent.  Hanegan is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Hanegan gets on the inside.  Hanegan is on target with a sharp right uppercut.  Rafferty wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Hanegan dabs at his face checking for damage.

Hanegan gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Hanegan clinches his opponent.  Hanegan is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Hanegan about fouling.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Rafferty's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Rafferty's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Rafferty's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Hanegan is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Hanegan lands a right uppercut to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right uppercut to the head, AND SENDS RAFFERTY SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 7.  Rafferty now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.
