Rob Chesoni vs Ian Kaloki

Boxing Daily Report from the African Boxing Kingdom promoted show at Nyayo National Stadium, Nairobi,  taking place on 31/12/2043:

Clearly African Boxing Kingdom have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the Eastern African Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Rob Chesoni (26(11) - 1(1) - 2) who hails from Kikuyu, Kenya and Ian Kaloki(15(1) - 3(2)) from Nairobi, Kenya.  Both Chesoni and Kaloki weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Joe Mwirichia, and the three ringside judges are Manu Yator, Sam Waiyaki and Duncan Wakihuri.  

Round 1: 

Chesoni is looking to close the distance.  Chesoni sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Chesoni throws a right uppercut, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Chesoni holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Chesoni pushes his forearm into Kaloki's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Chesoni walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Kaloki attempts to land a left hook, but Chesoni blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Kaloki throws a left hook, but Chesoni holds on to his opponent.  Chesoni is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Chesoni's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Chesoni lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.

Chesoni leans on his opponent using all his weight. Chesoni is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Chesoni about fouling.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Kaloki's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Kaloki's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Kaloki's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Chesoni knows Kaloki is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Chesoni lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND SENDS KALOKI TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  Kaloki now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.
