Mark Lawrie vs David Palin

Boxing Daily Report from the True North promoted show at Surrey Obie, Surrey,  taking place on 18/12/2043:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Canada-British Columbia Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mark Lawrie (27(18) - 10(7)) who hails from Burnaby, Canada and David Palin(11 - 4 - 6) from Richmond, Canada.  Lawrie weighed in at 146 pounds And 12 ounces, while Palin weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Noah Tedford, and the three ringside judges are James Wark, Michael Crosbie and Arthur Brown.  

Round 1: 

Lawrie lands with a stiff jab.  
Lawrie feints a jab, fooling Palin into throwing a cross counter.  Lawrie avoids the shot and counters with a right hook to his opponents body.

Lawrie steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Lawrie holds on to his opponent.  Palin is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Palin and breaks the clinch.
