Vicente Bailon vs Joaquin Amado

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Cuba-Holguin promoted show at Holguin Silvestre, Holguin,  taking place on 24/12/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Cuba-Holguin Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Vicente Bailon (5 - 10(1)) who hails from Holguin, Cuba and Joaquin Amado(32(5) - 7(6)) from Holguin, Cuba.  Bailon weighed in at 175 pounds, while Amado weighed in at 174 pounds and 8 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Guillermo Mercado, and the three ringside judges are Guillermo Mercado, Carlos Caballero and Nemesio Puerto.  

Round 1: 

Amado gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by two left hook's to the body.  
Amado steps inside and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Amado steps inside and is on target with a left hook.  
Amado pivots to the left of his opponent.  Amado lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Amado clinches his opponent.  Amado is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Amado about fouling.  
Amado retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Bailon steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  
Bailon attempts to land a right hook, but Amado slips the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Bailon steps away from his opponent.  Amado finds the target with a jab.  
Amado advances into close range and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He then lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  Amado clinches his opponent.  Amado leans on his opponent using all his weight. Amado uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Bailon's kidney. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Amado to stop fouling.  
Amado gets on the inside.  Bailon pivots to the right of his opponent.  Amado lands a solid left uppercut.  
Bailon pivots to the left of his opponent.  Amado lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Bailon quickly recovers. 
Amado lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Amado gets on the inside.  Amado lands a solid left hook.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Bailon dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Amado is on target with a right uppercut.  
Amado lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Amado closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  Amado ties up his opponent.  Amado leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Bailon pivots to the left of his opponent.  Amado lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Bailon's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Bailon's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.  Amado's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Amado is on target with a VICIOUS left hook.  BAILON WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Bailon recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Amado attempts to land a left hook, but Bailon slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Amado lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Amado steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Bailon tries to step out of his opponents range.  Amado lands with a spiteful jab.  
Bailon switches the action to the outside.  Amado lands with a hard jab.  
Amado lands a ramrod jab.  
Amado lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  
Amado advances into close range and lands a solid right hook.  
Amado lands a right hook.  Amado clinches his opponent.  Amado leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Bailon tries to step out of his opponents range.  Amado lands a double jab to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Amado is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Amado is on target with a VICIOUS left uppercut.  BAILON HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
Amado advances into close range.  Amado lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head, AND BAILON IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 8.  
Bailon steps to the outside.  Amado lands a left uppercut, right uppercut and a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He then lands two right uppercuts followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  The winner by KO is Amado!
