Igor Zedele vs Michael Dowe

Boxing Daily Report from the FightArama promoted show at Vector Arena, Auckland,  taking place on 22/01/2044:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV One, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are The Invincible Igor Zedele (7 - 0) who hails from Riga, Latvia and Michael Dowe(4 - 4 - 3) from Manukau, New Zealand.  Zedele weighed in at 122 pounds, while Dowe weighed in at 121 pounds and 6 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Mark Vaux, and the three ringside judges are Rob Horsburgh, Cody Master and Connor Vallance.  

Round 1: 

Zedele voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Dowe is whaling away with hooks, but Zedele keeps his defence tight.  
Zedele is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Zedele lands a right hook.  
Zedele closes the distance and connects with a stinging right uppercut.  Zedele ties up his opponent.  Zedele uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Dowe behind the head. The referee warns Zedele and breaks the clinch.

Zedele is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Zedele ties up his opponent.  Zedele leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Zedele's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Zedele closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Zedele lands two left hooks followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Dowe's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Dowe's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.
