James Rodden vs Barry David

Boxing Daily Report from the Oak Promotions promoted show at Christchurch Picken, Christchurch,  taking place on 30/12/2043:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the New Zealand-Canterbury Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are James Rodden (9 - 7(1) - 1) who hails from Christchurch, New Zealand and Barry David(3 - 5 - 2) from Christchurch, New Zealand.  Rodden weighed in at 200 pounds, while David weighed in at 199 pounds and 6 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Tobias Vert, and the three ringside judges are Ricky Houp, Clint Cattell and Ikei Kahu.

David is looking to close the distance and connects with a right hook.

David closes the distance.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Rodden dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Rodden lands a cross followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
David is looking to close the distance and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Rodden lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.

David advances into close range.  David goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Rodden's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Rodden is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with a jab.  
David steps inside and hits home with a right uppercut.  
David is looking to close the distance.  Rodden pivots to the side of his opponent and throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives David time to recover.  
Rodden digs in a right hook to his opponents body.

David steps inside and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
David tries to land a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
David steps inside.  Rodden pivots to the left of his opponent and hits home with a right uppercut.  
David gets on the inside and walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  David connects with a left hook.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as David dabs at his face checking for damage.
