Nelson Mmoh vs Thompson Umaru

Boxing Daily Report from the Skebenga Corp promoted show at Adamasingba Stadium, Ibadan,  taking place on 02/01/2044:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Nelson Mmoh (8(4) - 0) who hails from Umuahia, Nigeria and Thompson Umaru(35 - 7(4) - 1) from Enugu, Nigeria.  Mmoh weighed in at 237 pounds and 11 ounces, while Umaru weighed in at 239 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Irfan Younan, and the three ringside judges are Jay-Jay Ameobi, Ifeanyi Dosunmu and Obafemi Aruna.  

Round 1: 

Umaru voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Mmoh accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Umaru.  Mmoh drives a firm right hook into Umaru's body.  
Umaru tries to step out of his opponents range and finds the target with a hard jab.  
Umaru steps to the outside and tries to land a jab, but Mmoh slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Mmoh sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Mmoh pivots from in front of his opponent.  Mmoh throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Mmoh steps inside and hits home with a solid left hook.

Umaru connects with a cross.  
Umaru lands a jab to the head, a cross to the head and a left uppercut to the body.

Mmoh closes the distance.  Umaru digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Umaru is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Mmoh sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Mmoh lands two jabs followed by an overhand right to his opponents head.  Mmoh tries to land a jab, but Umaru sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.

Umaru lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Mmoh ties up his opponent.  Mmoh uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Umaru's kidney. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Mmoh about fouling.

Mmoh quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Umaru lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  
Umaru attempts to land a left hook, but Mmoh parries the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Mmoh dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Mmoh.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Umaru throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Mmoh gets on the inside.  Mmoh pivots from in front of his opponent and drives a firm right uppercut into his opponents body.
