Alec Blackard vs John MacKenzie

Boxing Daily Report from the Serero Promotions promoted show at Durham Farin, Durham,  taking place on 05/01/2044:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-North Carolina Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Alec Blackard (8 - 8(2)) who hails from Greensboro, USA and John MacKenzie(9 - 12(1) - 3) from Raleigh, USA.  Both Blackard and MacKenzie weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Josh Baranek, and the three ringside judges are Alen Corson, Oliver Racine and Steven Bainum.  

Round 1: 

Blackard throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
MacKenzie voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Blackard is whaling away with hooks, but MacKenzie keeps his defence tight.
