Ian Afenynu vs Rush Duras

Boxing Daily Report from the African Boxing Kingdom promoted show at Omnisports Roumdé Adjia, Garoua,  taking place on 27/01/2044:

Clearly African Boxing Kingdom have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Western African Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Ian Afenynu (13(12) - 0) who hails from Tamale, Ghana and Rush Duras(21 - 4(4)) from Bouake, Ivory Coast.  Both Afenynu and Duras weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ferrand Baute, and the three ringside judges are Michel Ekwe, Senior Binoche and Ferrand Kweuke.  

Round 1: 

Duras lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Afenynu is looking to keep his distance.  Duras throws a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a firm left hook.  
Duras is looking to close the distance.  Afenynu throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.

Duras closes the distance.  Duras quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Afenynu SLAMS a VICIOUS right hook into his opponents face.  IT LOOKS LIKE DURAS WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Duras recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

As they grapple, Duras pushes his forearm into Afenynu's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Afenynu steps to the outside and lands a ramrod jab.  
Afenynu lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Afenynu feints a cross, but Duras ignores the feint and is on target with a left uppercut to Afenynu's ribs.  
Afenynu steps to the outside and connects with a sharp cross.  
Duras closes the distance and is on target with a left hook.  
Afenynu is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Duras is on target with a stiff jab.  
Afenynu lands an overhand left.  
Afenynu lands two straights to the body, and one to the head, DROPPING DURAS TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  
Afenynu is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Afenynu connects with a HUGE right uppercut.  DURAS IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 6.  It looks like Duras has now recovered from that shot earlier.  
Duras closes the distance and throws a left hook, but Afenynu clinches his opponent.  Duras is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Duras pushes his forearm into Afenynu's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Afenynu is looking to keep the action on the outside and snaps his opponents head back with a hard jab.  
Afenynu is on target with a DESTRUCTIVE overhand left.  DURAS WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Duras almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Duras steps inside and forces Afenynu to retreat onto the ropes.  Duras pivots from in front of his opponent.  Duras throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a WICKED left hook.  DURAS WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Duras almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Afenynu lands a stinging right hook.  
Afenynu lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Afenynu lands a jab to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Duras advances into close range.  Duras pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Afenynu's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Duras's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Afenynu lands a double jab to his opponents head.  He then lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Afenynu hits home with a cross.  
Duras closes the distance and lands a left uppercut.  
Afenynu switches the action to the outside.  Duras hits home with an overhand right.  
Duras connects with a right uppercut.  
Afenynu tries to keep the action at long range.  Afenynu feints a right, and then lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  Afenynu tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut to Afenynu's ribcage.  
Duras is looking to close the distance.  Afenynu quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a stinging left hook.  
Duras walks Afenynu down, trapping him on the ropes.  Afenynu hits home with a right hook.  Afenynu holds on to his opponent.  Afenynu is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.
