John Lay vs Alastair Taylor

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at Olympic Park Stadium, Melbourne,  taking place on 09/01/2044:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Oceania Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on SBS1, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are John Lay (38(14) - 31(29) - 1) who hails from Perth, Australia and Alastair Taylor(15(13) - 2(1)) from Wellington, New Zealand.  Both Lay and Taylor weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Steven Malas, and the three ringside judges are Hugh Collins, Alastair MacIntyre and Jonathan Neilson.  

Round 1: 

Lay tries to land a jab, but Taylor blocks the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut to Lay's ribs.
