Jay Boakye vs Waleed Khumarawayh

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at Athlone Stadium, Cape Town,  taking place on 13/02/2044:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the African Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on M-Net, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Jay Bone Crusher Boakye (16(14) - 0 - 1) who hails from Takoradi, Ghana and Waleed Khumarawayh(23(19) - 12(8) - 2) from Alexandria, Egypt.  Both Boakye and Khumarawayh weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Luvolwethu Nyatama, and the three ringside judges are Xhosas Serero, Runako Mashaba and Chike Waris.  

Round 1: 

Boakye lands a sharp cross.

Khumarawayh is looking to close the distance.  Boakye lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Boakye lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Khumarawayh quickly recovers. 
Khumarawayh closes the distance.  Boakye attempts to land a left hook, but Khumarawayh slips the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
Boakye steps away from his opponent and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Boakye throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  Khumarawayh almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Khumarawayh gets on the inside and walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Khumarawayh sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Khumarawayh throws a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
Khumarawayh hits home with a solid right hook.  
Boakye steps away from his opponent and lands a cross.  
Khumarawayh steps inside.  Boakye is on target with a firm left hook to Khumarawayh's body.  
Khumarawayh connects with a stinging left hook.  
Khumarawayh is on target with a right hook.  
Boakye is looking to keep his distance and lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a double jab to his opponents head.

Boakye is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a cross followed by a overhand left to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Khumarawayh recovers before his opponent can take advantage.
