Carlos Platero vs Adam Auriol

Boxing Daily Report from the Top Shelf Prospects promoted show at Casino Miami Jai Alai, Miami,  taking place on 30/01/2044:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Carlos Platero (16(6) - 0) who hails from Ponce, Puerto Rico and Adam Auriol(12(1) - 4(3) - 1) from Philadelphia, USA.  Platero weighed in at 118 pounds, while Auriol weighed in at 117 pounds and 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is John Cook, and the three ringside judges are Pedro Buendia, Fanuco Onate and Cody Grant.

Auriol closes the distance.  Platero lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Auriol closes the distance and drives a left uppercut into his opponents liver.  Platero holds on to his opponent.  Platero pushes his forearm into Auriol's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Auriol forces Platero to back into the ropes.  Auriol quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left hook to Platero's liver.  
Platero tries to land a jab, but Auriol slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Platero steps away from his opponent and lands a hard jab.  
Platero lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Platero lands two jabs followed by a cross to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Auriol recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Auriol closes the distance and walks Platero down, trapping him on the ropes.  Platero connects with a right hook.  Platero clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Auriol pushes his forearm into Platero's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Auriol sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Platero is on target with a left uppercut to Auriol's ribs.  
Platero tries to step out of his opponents range and connects with an overhand right.  
Platero lands a jab to the body followed by a overhand left to the head.  
Auriol advances into close range.  Platero drives a stinging left hook into Auriol's liver.  
Platero feints a right hook, and then snaps his opponents head back with a stiff jab.  
Platero feints a left, and then lands a jab, overhand right and a cross to his opponents head.  
Auriol tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Auriol steps inside and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Platero lands a right uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Platero tries to keep the action at long range and lands a jab to the body followed by a cross to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Platero connects with a mean cross.  Auriol now seems to have got his legs back.  
Auriol steps inside.  Platero lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Platero lands an overhand left to the head followed by a jab to the body.  
Platero lands a solid overhand right.  
Platero connects with a cross.  
Platero feints a left hook, and then is on target with a cross.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Auriol's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Auriol's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.
