Ryuu Maekawa vs Kong Jin

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at Tokyo Dome, Tokyo,  taking place on 30/01/2044:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the East Asian Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV Tokyo, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Ryuu Maekawa (53(45) - 11(9)) who hails from Amagasaki, Japan and Kong Jin(9(2) - 0) from Dongguan, China.  Maekawa weighed in at 175 pounds, while Jin weighed in at 174 pounds and 3 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Nori Saito, and the three ringside judges are Yuichi Abe, Ichiro Tsukamoto and Hikaru Nakamura.  

Round 1: 

Maekawa is looking to close the distance.  Jin lands two left hooks followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Maekawa ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Jin pushes his forearm into Maekawa's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Maekawa is on target with a stinging right uppercut.  
Maekawa lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Maekawa lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Jin pivots to the left of his opponent.  Jin throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a sharp left hook.  
Maekawa manouvers Jin into the red corner.  Jin lands a right hook.  
Maekawa connects with a left uppercut.  Maekawa holds on to his opponent.  Maekawa pushes his forearm into Jin's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Jin sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Maekawa lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Maekawa advances into close range and lands a FIERCE left hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE JIN WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Maekawa knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Maekawa lands a cross followed by  two left uppercuts to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right uppercut, cross and a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Maekawa lands a double left hook to his opponents head, AND DROPS JIN TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  Jin now seems to have his senses back.  
Maekawa tries to land a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Maekawa is looking to close the distance and throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Maekawa lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Maekawa is looking to close the distance.  Jin tries to land a left hook, but Maekawa blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Maekawa pivots to the left of his opponent.  Maekawa throws a right uppercut, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Maekawa holds on to his opponent.  Maekawa leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Maekawa pushes his forearm into Jin's face.  The referee warns Maekawa and breaks the clinch.  
Maekawa lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Maekawa attempts to land a right hook, but Jin blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Maekawa is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Maekawa connects with a WICKED left uppercut.  JIN IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Jin now seems to have his senses back.  
Jin lands a right hook.  Jin throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Jin throws a left hook, but Maekawa clinches his opponent.  Maekawa leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Maekawa's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Jin is looking to keep his distance.  Maekawa is on target with a jab.  
Maekawa closes the distance and attempts to land a left hook, but Jin sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Jin's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Jin pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Maekawa closes the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Maekawa attempts to land a jab, but Jin dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Maekawa lands with a stiff jab.  
Jin hits the target with a stinging jab.  
Maekawa throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Maekawa whips in a hurtful right hook to Jin's ribs.  JIN WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Jin switches the action to the outside.  Maekawa is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Maekawa lands two left uppercuts to the body, and one to the head, AND DROPS JIN TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 6.  Jin now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Maekawa steps inside and forces Jin to back into the ropes.  Maekawa drives a right uppercut into his opponents ribs.  
Jin steps to the outside and attempts to land a jab, but Maekawa sidesteps and counters with a nasty cross.  JIN IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  HE MAKES IT TO ONE KNEE, BUT IS UNABLE TO RISE ANY FURTHER AS THE REF COUNTS 10!  The winner by KO is Maekawa!
