Paul McCleary vs Jose Quinto

Boxing Daily Report from the HONEYPUNCH promoted show at The O2, Dublin,  taking place on 13/02/2044:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the EU Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Setanta Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Paul McCleary (17(13) - 3) who hails from Dublin, Ireland and Jose Quinto(23 - 5(3)) from Madrid, Spain.  McCleary weighed in at 130 pounds, while Quinto weighed in at 129 pounds And 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Aaron Hearn, and the three ringside judges are Mel Mohan, John Hyland and Dan McCorquodale.  

Round 1: 

McCleary connects with a cross.  
McCleary quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Quinto tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Quinto lands with a hard jab.  
Quinto is looking to keep his distance and throws a cross, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook to Quinto's liver.  
McCleary walks his opponent into a corner.  McCleary lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Quinto tries to land a cross, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Quinto pivots to the right of his opponent.  McCleary drives a stinging left hook into Quinto's body.

McCleary steps inside and lands a right uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body.

Quinto lands a left hook.  
McCleary quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Quinto throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Quinto tries to keep the action at long range and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
McCleary gets on the inside and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
McCleary gets on the inside and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  McCleary throws a left hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  Quinto almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Quinto steps away from his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  Quinto tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
McCleary lands a HUGE right uppercut.  QUINTO WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Quinto almost instantly gets his legs back. 
McCleary is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
McCleary advances into close range.  Quinto pivots from in front of his opponent.  Quinto throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Quinto's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Quinto's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

McCleary closes the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND DROPS QUINTO TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  Quinto quickly recovers.

Quinto tries to step out of his opponents range and attempts to land a jab, but McCleary slips the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
McCleary lands a jab.  
McCleary hits home with a cross.  
McCleary gets on the inside and connects with a sharp left hook.  
Quinto digs in a left uppercut to his opponents body.  McCleary clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Quinto pushes his forearm into McCleary's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
McCleary walks his opponent onto the ropes.  McCleary is on target with a right hook.  
McCleary steps inside.  Quinto throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid right hook.  
McCleary is looking to close the distance.  Quinto quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  McCleary is on target with a sharp right hook.  
Quinto switches the action to the outside and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
McCleary steps inside.  Quinto attempts to land a left hook, but McCleary dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.  
McCleary is on target with a hurtful cross to his opponents body.  IT LOOKS LIKE QUINTO WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
McCleary is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  McCleary lands a cross to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a left hook to the body, AND DROPS QUINTO TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 9.  It looks like Quinto has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
McCleary steps inside and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.

Quinto is looking to keep his distance and is on target with a jab.  
Quinto pivots to the side of his opponent.  Quinto tries to land a jab, but McCleary sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
McCleary is looking to close the distance and lands a nasty left hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE QUINTO WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
McCleary stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  McCleary lands a right uppercut, left uppercut and a cross to his opponents head, AND QUINTO IS DOWN!  The ref does not give Quinto the chance to beat the count...The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is McCleary!
