Josh Colden vs Mel Leithead

Boxing Daily Report from the Shima-Enaga promoted show at Nassau Morgan, Nassau,  taking place on 12/03/2044:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Josh Colden (9(8) - 0) who hails from Nassau, Bahamas and Mel Leithead(1 - 9) from Nassau, Bahamas.  Colden weighed in at 246 pounds And 4 ounces, while Leithead weighed in at 240 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ian Crandall, and the three ringside judges are Jack Taylor, Aaron Urwin and Jack Binnie.  

Round 1: 

Colden lands an overhand right.

Colden lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Leithead is looking to close the distance.  Colden lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  Colden holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Colden pushes his forearm into Leithead's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Colden about fouling.  
Colden throws a right hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Colden ties up his opponent.  Colden uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Leithead's kidney. 
Colden lands a cross followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Leithead advances into close range.  Colden drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  Colden clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Leithead pushes his forearm into Colden's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Colden lands a sharp right hook.  
Colden steps to the outside.  Colden feints a jab, fooling Leithead into launching a cross counter.  Colden springs the trap and counters with  a left hook.  
Leithead steps inside.  Colden lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the head.  Colden holds on to his opponent.  Colden is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. As they grapple, Colden pushes his forearm into Leithead's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Colden is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  He then lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Colden lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Colden lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Leithead gets on the inside and walks Colden down, trapping him in a neutral corner.  Colden throws a left uppercut, but his opponent avoids the punch with a sidestep. At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Leithead's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Leithead's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.
