Malik Yamin vs Leighton Mayat

Boxing Daily Report from the Lamptey Promotions promoted show at Accra Sowah, Accra,  taking place on 24/01/2044:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ghana-Greater Accra Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Malik Yamin (13 - 3) who hails from Accra, Ghana and Leighton Mayat(2 - 7(1) - 2) from Accra, Ghana.  Both Yamin and Mayat weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Bilal Haider, and the three ringside judges are John Akafia, Peabo Fuseini and John Akafia.  

Round 1: 

Yamin lands a left hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Mayat tries to step out of his opponents range.  Yamin connects with a cross.
