Vitali Maikeev vs Cris Borjon

Boxing Daily Report from the Brenin Promotions promoted show at Estádio Municipal Carlos Zamith, Manaus,  taking place on 07/03/2044:

Clearly Brenin Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Vitali Maikeev (3(2) - 0) who hails from Karagandy, Kazakhstan and Cris Borjon(6 - 2 - 1) from Medellin, Colombia.  Both Maikeev and Borjon weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Alejandro Freitas, and the three ringside judges are Jax Clemente, Hilario Spinola and Hilario Spinola.  

Round 1: 

Maikeev drives a left uppercut into Borjon's liver.  Maikeev holds on to his opponent.  Maikeev pushes his forearm into Borjon's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Maikeev is on target with a sharp left hook to his opponents body.  
Maikeev lands a right uppercut to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Maikeev cuts off the ring, trapping Borjon in the corner.  Borjon throws a right hook, but Maikeev clinches his opponent.  Maikeev tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Borjon's kidney. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Maikeev lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Maikeev lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Borjon almost instantly recovers. 
Maikeev steps inside and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Maikeev clinches his opponent.  Maikeev pushes his forearm into Borjon's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Maikeev advances into close range and drives a right uppercut into his opponents ribcage.  
Maikeev walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Maikeev lands a right hook.  
Maikeev lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Maikeev hits home with a solid left uppercut.

Maikeev is looking to close the distance and throws a left uppercut, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Maikeev clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Maikeev pushes his forearm into Borjon's face.  The referee warns Maikeev and breaks the clinch.

Maikeev walks Borjon into a neutral corner.  Maikeev crashes a mean left uppercut to his opponents body.  BORJON WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Borjon quickly recovers. 
Maikeev lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Maikeev ties up his opponent.  Maikeev is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  Borjon recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Borjon's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Borjon's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Maikeev closes the distance and hits home with a sharp right hook.  Maikeev holds on to his opponent.  Maikeev is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Maikeev throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot.  Maikeev holds on to his opponent.  Maikeev leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.
