David Swanson vs Mark Storer

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Xcel Energy Center, Saint Paul,  taking place on 12/03/2044:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the USA-Minnesota Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fox Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are David Swanson (27(17) - 0) who hails from Minneapolis, USA and Mark Storer(2 - 2 - 1) from Saint Paul, USA.  Both Swanson and Storer weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ian Soderberg, and the three ringside judges are Zachary Mattus, Harry Streblow and Phil Bertel.  

Round 1: 

Swanson advances into close range.  Swanson sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Storer throws a left hook, but Swanson holds on to his opponent.  Swanson is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Swanson and breaks the clinch.  
Swanson sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands with a hard jab.  
Storer switches the action to the outside.  Swanson hits home with an overhand left.  
Storer tries to land a jab, but Swanson blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Swanson closes the distance and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Swanson holds on to his opponent.  Swanson leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  Storer quickly recovers. 
Swanson closes the distance and throws a left uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot.  Swanson clinches his opponent.  Swanson pushes his forearm into Storer's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Swanson about fouling.  
Swanson lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  Swanson holds on to his opponent.  Swanson tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Storer behind the head. 
Swanson lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Swanson drives a sharp left hook into his opponents body.  
Swanson is on target with a sharp right hook to Storer's ribs.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Swanson has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Swanson hits home with a hard jab.  
Swanson connects with a stinging cross.  
Swanson throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Swanson throws a right hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Swanson holds on to his opponent.  Swanson is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Storer steps to the outside.  Swanson quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a cross into his opponents body.  
Swanson lands a cross to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Swanson is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Swanson digs in a stinging right uppercut to Storer's body.  
Swanson steps inside and digs in a right hook to Storer's ribs.  Swanson holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Swanson pushes his forearm into Storer's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Swanson.  
Swanson drives a firm right uppercut into Storer's body.  
Swanson forces Storer to retreat into a corner.  Swanson drives a solid left hook into Storer's ribs.  
Swanson sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Storer throws a right hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Swanson clinches his opponent.  Swanson uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Storer behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Swanson.

Swanson sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Swanson lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Storer steps away from his opponent and tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Swanson gets on the inside and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Swanson clinches his opponent.  Swanson leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Swanson to stop holding.  
Swanson sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
Swanson lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Storer is looking to keep his distance.  Swanson is on target with a stiff jab.  
Swanson gets on the inside and is on target with a stinging right uppercut.  
Swanson drives a right hook into Storer's body.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Storer's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Storer's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Storer's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Storer is on target with a cross.  
Swanson closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Storer is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Swanson lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS STORER DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Storer quickly recovers. 
Swanson gets on the inside and lands a right hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body.  
Storer is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Swanson drops his hands, and waves his opponent in.  Storer throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a SAVAGE right hook.  STORER IS HURT!  Storer quickly recovers.
