Aeron Apted vs Martyn McCourt

Boxing Daily Report from the AI UK-Wales promoted show at Cardiff Sloss, Cardiff,  taking place on 25/02/2044:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the British-Wales Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Eurosport UK, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Aeron Apted (14(2) - 2) who hails from Cardiff, UK and Martyn McCourt(32(11) - 4(4)) from Swansea, UK.  Apted weighed in at 135 pounds And 13 ounces, while McCourt weighed in at 135 pounds.    As Apted came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the titles on the line tonight.  
The referee tonight is Mark MacNevin, and the three ringside judges are Dan Malone, Griffith Batton and Inigo Rury.

Apted steps inside.  McCourt drives a solid left hook into his opponents ribs.  
McCourt lands with a stiff jab.  
McCourt lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Apted gets on the inside.  McCourt lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  McCourt clinches his opponent.  McCourt is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks McCourt's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
McCourt tries to land a right hook, but Apted blocks the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  
McCourt lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
McCourt digs in a sharp left hook to his opponents body.  
McCourt manouvers Apted onto the ropes.  McCourt lands a stinging left hook.

McCourt attempts to land a jab, but Apted blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents body.

Apted switches the action to the outside and tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
McCourt gets on the inside.  Apted is on target with a left hook to McCourt's ribs.  
Apted is looking to keep his distance.  McCourt throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
McCourt gets on the inside.  McCourt quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
McCourt pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
McCourt pivots to the left of his opponent and lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.  
McCourt pivots to the left of his opponent and hits home with a left uppercut.  McCourt wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Apted dabs at his face checking for damage.  
McCourt pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a stinging right hook.

Apted throws a right hook, but McCourt ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Apted pushes his forearm into McCourt's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Apted.

McCourt steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Apted attempts to land a right hook, but McCourt slips the shot and counters with a stinging right hook.  
Apted throws a left hook, but McCourt ties up his opponent.  Apted tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits McCourt behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Apted to stop fouling.  
McCourt lands a cross to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Apted lands with a stinging jab.  
Apted is looking to keep the action on the outside and tries to land a cross, but McCourt dodges the shot and counters with a stinging right hook.  
McCourt hits home with a stinging cross.  
McCourt steps inside.  Apted drives a right uppercut into McCourt's body.
