Venacio Para vs Ramirez Leyva

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at Rogers Center, Toronto,  taking place on 16/04/2044:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Venacio PowWow Para (26(25) - 0) who hails from Viba del Mar, Chile and Ramirez Leyva(28 - 26(22) - 2) from Asuncion, Paraguay.  Both Para and Leyva weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Clint Duthie, and the three ringside judges are Noel Coulthard, Richard Amiot and Mark Nixon.  

Round 1: 

Leyva quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Para throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Para is on target with a right hook to Leyva's ribcage.  
Para lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Para gets on the inside and digs in a stinging left hook to Leyva's ribs.  Para tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Leyva pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a left uppercut to Para's body.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Leyva dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Leyva switches the action to the outside.  Para lands a jab.  
Leyva lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Para closes the distance.  Leyva quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Para is on target with a sharp right hook to his opponents body.  
Leyva pivots to the side of his opponent.  Leyva attempts to land a right hook, but Para sidesteps and counters with a solid right hook.  
Para lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Para cuts off the ring, trapping Leyva on the ropes.  Leyva tries to land a left hook, but Para parries the shot and counters with a solid left hook to Leyva's body.  
Para throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Para is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Leyva could be stopped here, if Para can find the right shot!  Para lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND DOWN GOES LEYVA!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Leyva now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.

Leyva quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Leyva tries to land a jab, but Para sidesteps and counters with a big right hook to Leyva's ribs.  LEYVA IS HURT!  
Para closes the distance.  Para is looking to force the stoppage!  Para lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  He then lands a left uppercut to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  It looks like Leyva has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Para lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Para ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Para pushes his forearm into Leyva's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Para to stop fouling.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Para dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Para walks Leyva into a neutral corner.  Leyva drives a right hook into Para's body.  Para clinches his opponent.  Para leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Para gets on the inside and is on target with a telling left hook to his opponents body.  IT LOOKS LIKE LEYVA WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Leyva almost instantly recovers. 
Para attempts to land a left hook, but Leyva parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Para lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents body.  Para holds on to his opponent.  Para tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Leyva behind the head. The referee warns Para and breaks the clinch.  
Para manouvers Leyva onto the ropes.  Para hits home with a stinging right uppercut.  
Para lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Para throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Para attempts to land a jab, but Leyva slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Para pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a jab followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Leyva attempts to land a right hook, but Para parries the shot and counters with a big left hook to Leyva's ribs.  LEYVA WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Leyva recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Leyva forces Para to back into the ropes.  Para tries to land a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Leyva's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Para hits home with a sharp right hook.  
Para attempts to land a jab, but Leyva dodges the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  
Para gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Para lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Para lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.
