John Lawlis vs Chris Renwick

Boxing Daily Report from the Shima-Enaga promoted show at Shima-Enaga Gym, Nassau,  taking place on 16/04/2044:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are John Lawlis (8(3) - 1) who hails from Nassau, Bahamas and Chris Renwick(0 - 3(1) - 1) from Nassau, Bahamas.  Both Lawlis and Renwick weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rob Weatherspoon, and the three ringside judges are Jack Blair, Ewan Clisham and John Sheils.  

Round 1: 

Lawlis is looking to close the distance.  Lawlis leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Renwick steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  
Lawlis steps inside and hits home with a right uppercut.  
Lawlis lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Lawlis lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Lawlis lands a right hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.

Lawlis steps inside.  Renwick quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Renwick throws a left hook, but Lawlis clinches his opponent.  Lawlis uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Renwick's kidney. 
Lawlis closes the distance and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Lawlis digs in a sharp left hook to Renwick's liver.

It looks like Renwick has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.

Renwick contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Lawlis finds the target with a spiteful jab.  
Renwick advances into close range.  Renwick quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Lawlis lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Lawlis lands a right hook.  
Lawlis hits the target with a solid jab.  
Renwick is looking to close the distance.  Lawlis lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Lawlis lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Renwick closes the distance.  You can sense Renwick is getting frustrated in there.   He swings an uppercut into his opponents groin! The ref separates the two fighters and tells Renwick to keep his punches up.  He gives Lawlis a few minutes to recover.

Renwick is not fighting as well as he'd like.    He throws a hook, and catches Lawlis low!  The ref halts the action and sends Lawlis to the neutral corner.    He has a stern word with Renwick and warns that a point will be deducted if he continues to foul.
