Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at Docklands Stadium, Melbourne,  taking place on 02/04/2044:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the WRBA Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on SBS1, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Patrick Tacvoryan (21(17) - 3 - 2) who hails from Brisbane, Australia and Lorcan Fitzgerald(20(18) - 2(2)) from Dublin, Ireland.  Tacvoryan weighed in at 112 pounds, while Fitzgerald weighed in at 111 pounds And 3 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Owen MacCallum, and the three ringside judges are Jack Steven, Leighton McPherson and Sam Luckie.  

Round 1: 

Fitzgerald steps inside.  Tacvoryan lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.

Fitzgerald is looking to close the distance and attempts to land a left hook, but Tacvoryan blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Fitzgerald's ribs.  
Fitzgerald steps inside.  Tacvoryan throws a left uppercut, but is not on target.  Tacvoryan ties up his opponent.  Fitzgerald leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Fitzgerald walks Tacvoryan down, trapping him on the ropes.  Fitzgerald is on target with a ramrod jab.  
Fitzgerald gets on the inside and is on target with a sharp left hook to Tacvoryan's body.  Tacvoryan holds on to his opponent.  Fitzgerald leans on his opponent using all his weight. Tacvoryan pushes his forearm into Fitzgerald's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Tacvoryan about fouling.

Fitzgerald throws an overhand left, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Tacvoryan quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a MASSIVE cross.  FITZGERALD WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Fitzgerald almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Fitzgerald attempts to land a jab, but Tacvoryan blocks the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Fitzgerald quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Tacvoryan drives a forceful right uppercut into his opponents body.  FITZGERALD WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Fitzgerald quickly recovers. 
Fitzgerald closes the distance and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Fitzgerald attempts to land a left hook, but Tacvoryan blocks the shot and counters with a solid right hook.  
Fitzgerald gets on the inside and manouvers Tacvoryan onto the ropes.  Fitzgerald digs in a sharp left hook to Tacvoryan's body.  
Tacvoryan steps away from his opponent and drives a ramrod jab into his opponents face.  
Tacvoryan connects with a firm overhand left.  
Tacvoryan lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Fitzgerald's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Fitzgerald's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.
