Leo Purcell vs David Mattick

Boxing Daily Report from the GOAT Promotions promoted show at Aurora Platt, Aurora,  taking place on 07/03/2044:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Mountain West Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Leo Purcell (5 - 3 - 2) who hails from Aurora, USA and David Mattick(7 - 5 - 1) from Denver, USA.  Both Purcell and Mattick weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is David Routledge, and the three ringside judges are Kai Latto, Johnny Emslie and Sam Coghill.  

Round 1: 

Purcell tries to step out of his opponents range and connects with a cross.  
Purcell sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
Mattick tries to step out of his opponents range.  Purcell finds the target with a jab.  
Mattick voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Purcell accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Mattick.
