Peter McQuillan vs Gus McIver

Boxing Daily Report from the Sihumbwa Promotions promoted show at Milwaukee Nelson, Milwaukee,  taking place on 07/03/2044:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Wisconsin Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Peter McQuillan (11 - 15(2) - 3) who hails from Green Bay, USA and Gus McIver(30(9) - 7) from Milwaukee, USA.  McQuillan weighed in at 153 pounds and 7 ounces, while McIver weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sid MacLaine, and the three ringside judges are Andy Mateer, Vincent Elias and Gareth Prichard.  

Round 1: 

McIver steps inside and hits home with a left hook.  
McQuillan goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores McIver's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
McQuillan tries to land a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp cross.  
McIver steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  McIver ties up his opponent.  McIver is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. McIver is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as McIver dabs at his face checking for damage.  McIver has taken some damage there.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
