Salim Soko vs Rob Nkolola

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Zambia-Copperbelt promoted show at Trory Badat Gym, Ndola,  taking place on 08/03/2044:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Zambia-Copperbelt Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Salim Soko (5 - 6(1) - 4) who hails from Kitwe, Zambia and Rob Nkolola(17(9) - 13(3)) from Ndola, Zambia.  Soko weighed in at 235 pounds And 5 ounces, while Nkolola weighed in at 230 pounds And 4 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Mykelti Shona, and the three ringside judges are Denzel Silwimba, Mablevi Machila and Tyrell Mwandangombe.  

Round 1: 

Nkolola gets on the inside.  Nkolola quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Soko attempts to land a left hook, but Nkolola sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Nkolola tries to keep the action at long range and lands a sharp cross.  
Soko tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Nkolola switches the action to the outside.  Soko hits home with a cross.  
Nkolola closes the distance.  Nkolola pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Soko throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Nkolola is on target with a sharp left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Nkolola lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Soko is on target with an overhand left.  
Nkolola lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Nkolola pivots to the side of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Soko tries to step out of his opponents range and finds the target with a jab.  
Nkolola steps inside and slams a mean left hook into Soko's body.  IT LOOKS LIKE SOKO WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Nkolola knows Soko is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Nkolola lands a right uppercut followed by  two right hooks to his opponents body, DROPPING SOKO TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  Soko now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Nkolola is on target with a solid cross.  
Nkolola tries to step out of his opponents range.  Soko sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Nkolola lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Soko drops his hands, and waves his opponent in.  Nkolola lands a double jab to his opponents head.

Nkolola digs in a right hook to Soko's body.  
Nkolola steps away from his opponent and connects with an overhand right.  
Nkolola advances into close range and drives a solid right hook into Soko's body.  
Soko attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Nkolola to the neutral corner.  He tells Soko he will lose a point if he continues to foul.  
Soko closes the distance.  Nkolola lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Nkolola switches the action to the outside and hits the target with a solid jab.  
Nkolola closes the distance.  Nkolola sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Soko lands a right hook.  
Nkolola gets on the inside and is on target with a firm left hook to Soko's liver.

Soko closes the distance.  Nkolola is looking to force the stoppage!  Nkolola lands three consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
Nkolola lands a cross to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND SOKO IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He makes it to one knee, but is unable to rise any further as the ref counts 10!  The winner by KO is Nkolola!
