Mark Maingi vs La Vonn Birech

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Kenya-Mombasa promoted show at Razi Masinde Gym, Mombasa,  taking place on 09/03/2044:

Clearly AI Kenya-Mombasa have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Kenya-Mombasa Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mark Maingi (1 - 18 - 5) who hails from Mombasa, Kenya and La Vonn Birech(7 - 5(1) - 2) from Mombasa, Kenya.  Both Maingi and Birech weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Connor Kamau, and the three ringside judges are Joey Keino, Joey Keino and Jay Matiku.

Maingi closes the distance.  Birech lands a left hook.

Birech walks Maingi onto the ropes.  Birech sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Maingi.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Birech is looking to close the distance and connects with a right uppercut.
