Gethin Dennie vs Neil Skene

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at Qualcomm Stadium, San Diego,  taking place on 30/04/2044:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Gethin Hitman Dennie (56(44) - 5(4) - 1) who hails from Cleveland, USA and Slick Neil Skene(52(45) - 3(2)) from Boston, USA.  Both Dennie and Skene weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Joey Catherwood, and the three ringside judges are Jawad Hai, Josh Beltran and Bradley Eade.  

Round 1: 

Dennie lands a double jab to his opponents head.

Skene voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Dennie tries to tag Skene on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  
Skene attempts to land a jab, but Dennie sidesteps and counters with a left hook.

Skene gets on the inside.  Dennie is on target with a right hook.  Skene wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Dennie.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
