Barry Mattix vs Ollie Cruden

Boxing Daily Report from the CP Boxing promoted show at GNS Sports Complex, New Amsterdam,  taking place on 15/03/2044:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Guyana Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on NCN, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Barry Mattix (25(23) - 3(1) - 1) who hails from Georgetown, Guyana and Ollie Cruden(10(1) - 4(1) - 1) from Linden, Guyana.  Both Mattix and Cruden weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Bradley Shiels, and the three ringside judges are Joey Elley, Charles Crawford and Chris Hanlin.  

Round 1: 

Cruden strikes his opponents body with a cross.  
Cruden finds the target with a jab.  
Mattix lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Mattix steps to the outside and lands a jab.  
Mattix is on target with a stinging overhand right.  
Mattix pivots to the right of his opponent.  Mattix tries to land a left uppercut, but Cruden blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Cruden advances into close range and is on target with a right hook.  
Cruden lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Cruden walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Mattix is on target with a solid left hook to Cruden's body.  Mattix throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Cruden gets on the inside.  Cruden sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Mattix digs in a left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Cruden is looking to close the distance and manages to force Mattix onto the ropes.  Cruden lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Mattix is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Cruden finds the target with a solid jab.

Cruden closes the distance and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Mattix digs in a sharp left hook to his opponents ribs.  Mattix tries to land a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.

Mattix lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Mattix tries to step out of his opponents range.  Cruden tries to land an overhand right, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Cruden steps inside.  Cruden pivots to the left of his opponent.  Cruden throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
Cruden gets on the inside and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Cruden attempts to land a right hook, but Mattix sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.

Mattix tries to step out of his opponents range.  Cruden attempts to land a jab, but Mattix slips the shot and counters with a solid cross.

Mattix lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a right uppercut, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES CRUDEN!  The count reaches 10, but Cruden is unable to get up!  The winner by KO is Mattix!
