Michael Starrett vs Jay Pearce

Boxing Daily Report from the Shima-Enaga promoted show at Shima-Enaga Gym, Nassau,  taking place on 14/05/2044:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Michael Starrett (6 - 0) who hails from Nassau, Bahamas and Jay Pearce(0 - 4 - 1) from Nassau, Bahamas.  Starrett weighed in at 154 pounds, while Pearce weighed in at 153 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Paul Ogg, and the three ringside judges are Alen Middlemas, Daniel Mollison and Michael Days.  

Round 1: 

Starrett closes the distance and connects with a left hook.  
Starrett pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the head, a right hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  
Starrett lands a cross followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Starrett closes the distance and walks Pearce into the corner.  Starrett hits home with a right hook.  
Starrett is on target with a left hook to Pearce's body.  
Starrett digs in a sharp left hook to Pearce's liver.  As Pearce tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Starrett dabs at his face checking for damage.

Starrett lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head.  
Starrett manages to force Pearce into the corner.  Starrett pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a stinging cross.  
Starrett lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Starrett quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Pearce throws a right uppercut, but Starrett ties up his opponent.  Starrett leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Starrett's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Starrett drives a sharp right hook into Pearce's body.  Starrett clinches his opponent.  Starrett leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. As they grapple, Starrett pushes his forearm into Pearce's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Starrett quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to Pearce's ribs.  
Starrett lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Starrett lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Starrett advances into close range.  Starrett pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left hook to Pearce's body.  
Pearce throws a left uppercut, but Starrett clinches his opponent.  Starrett tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Pearce behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Starrett.  
Starrett gets on the inside.  Starrett pivots to the right of his opponent.  Starrett lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Starrett clinches his opponent.  Starrett pushes his forearm into Pearce's face.  The ref breaks Starrett's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Starrett manouvers his opponent into the red corner.  Pearce attempts to land a cross, but Starrett slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Starrett pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a solid right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Pearce's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Pearce's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Pearce's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Pearce throws a right hook, but Starrett holds on to his opponent.  Starrett pushes his forearm into Pearce's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Starrett about fouling.  
Starrett lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Starrett pivots to the side of his opponent and connects with a stinging left uppercut.  
Starrett lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Starrett drives a left hook into Pearce's body.  
Starrett lands a stinging right hook.
