Quaashie Balala vs Imran Iqbal

Boxing Daily Report from the Ndovi Promotions promoted show at Nairobi Kahiu, Nairobi,  taking place on 29/03/2044:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Kenya-Nairobi Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Quaashie Balala (16 - 19 - 1) who hails from Nairobi, Kenya and Imran Iqbal(3 - 6 - 2) from Nairobi, Kenya.  Balala weighed in at 134 pounds and 4 ounces, while Iqbal weighed in at 134 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Chris Birir, and the three ringside judges are Rich Ashira, Sulaiman Saitot and Shaun Chelangat.  

Round 1: 

Iqbal walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Iqbal is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Balala is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Iqbal cuts off the ring, trapping Balala in the corner.  Iqbal drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Balala gets on the inside and throws a left hook, but is unable to find the target.  Balala ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Iqbal pushes his forearm into Balala's face.  The ref breaks Balala's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Iqbal steps inside.  Balala throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Iqbal time to recover.
