Ximen Coro vs Sancho Merlo

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Centro de Convenciones, Acapulco,  taking place on 26/03/2044:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Ximen Coro (13(8) - 0) who hails from Mexico City, Mexico and Sancho Merlo(4 - 7 - 3) from Guadalajara, Mexico.  Both Coro and Merlo weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Agapetus Villagran, and the three ringside judges are Carlos Jurado, Alejandro Rayos and Emanuel Borjas.  

Round 1: 

Merlo advances into close range.  Coro lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Coro holds on to his opponent.  Coro pushes his forearm into Merlo's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.
