Davie Birrell vs Michael Friel

Boxing Daily Report from the Cazmo Munn promoted show at Chris Battaglia Gym, Newark,  taking place on 07/04/2044:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-New Jersey Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Davie Birrell (5 - 2(1)) who hails from Paterson, USA and Michael Friel(4 - 11(1) - 4) from Jersey City, USA.  Birrell weighed in at 140 pounds, while Friel weighed in at 139 pounds And 8 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Lee Bowell, and the three ringside judges are Ewan McLoughlin, Jamie Loudon and Sid Kellison.  

Round 1: 

Birrell lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Birrell ties up his opponent.  Birrell uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Friel behind the head.
