Shamus Casey vs Michael Johns

Boxing Daily Report from the HONEYPUNCH promoted show at Griffin Park, London,  taking place on 16/04/2044:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the British Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Shamus Casey (25(17) - 5(2) - 1) who hails from Belfast, UK and Michael Johns(16 - 21(5) - 5) from Bristol, UK.  Both Casey and Johns weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dominic Sayer, and the three ringside judges are Sam Stalker, Tommy MacNeal and Mark Cossutta.  

Round 1: 

Johns tries to step out of his opponents range.  Casey quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a cross.  
Casey connects with a sharp cross.  
Casey closes the distance and is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  Casey holds on to his opponent.  Casey is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Casey quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and whips in a big left hook to his opponents liver.  JOHNS IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 4.  
Johns throws a left uppercut, but Casey holds on to his opponent.  Casey leans on his opponent using all his weight. Casey is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Casey and breaks the clinch.  
Casey walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Casey drives a right hook into his opponents body.  Casey attempts to land a left uppercut, but Johns blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Casey lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Casey ties up his opponent.  Casey leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Casey walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  Casey lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body, DROPPING JOHNS TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Johns almost instantly recovers. 
Johns pivots from in front of his opponent.  Casey is on target with a stinging left uppercut to Johns's liver.  
Casey gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Casey ties up his opponent.  Casey is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Casey drives a sharp right hook into Johns's body.  
Casey gets on the inside.  Casey sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Casey drives a solid left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Casey drives a sharp left uppercut into his opponents body.  JOHNS IS HURT!  Johns quickly recovers. 
Casey steps inside and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Casey gets on the inside.  Casey lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Casey digs in a left hook to Johns's body.  
Casey hits home with a left uppercut.  
Casey lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND SENDS JOHNS SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Casey ties up his opponent.  Casey is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  Johns recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Casey pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a firm cross.  
Casey drives a right hook into his opponents ribs.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Johns's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Johns's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Johns's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Casey advances into close range and drives a right uppercut into his opponents ribs.  
Casey sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Casey connects with a left hook.  Casey holds on to his opponent.  Casey tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Johns behind the head. The referee warns Casey and breaks the clinch.  
Casey lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Johns steps to the outside.  Casey lands a cross.  
Casey gets on the inside and drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Casey lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Casey advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Johns recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Casey digs in a sharp left hook to Johns's liver.  JOHNS IS HURT!  
Casey senses Johns is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Casey slams a big left uppercut into his opponents body.  JOHNS IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 4.  Johns now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Casey whips in a mean left hook to his opponents ribs.  JOHNS HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  
Casey forces Johns to retreat into the corner.  Casey lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND DOWN GOES JOHNS!  The ref waves off the fight.  He does not believe Johns can continue!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Casey!
