Emmanuel Meiffret vs Brendan Preddy

Boxing Daily Report from the Montreal's Top Gym promoted show at Olympic Stadium, Montreal,  taking place on 23/04/2044:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Canada Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Emmanuel Meiffret (12(11) - 1(1)) who hails from Montreal, Canada and Brendan Preddy(33(13) - 4(4)) from Edmonton, Canada.  Both Meiffret and Preddy weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Gerard Segalen, and the three ringside judges are Johnny Smith, Henry Popkin and Chevy Robert.  

Round 1: 

Preddy lowers his guard, attempting to draw a lead.  Meiffret is on target with a stinging overhand left.
