Santiago Velarde vs Juan Obando

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Mexico-Chihuahua promoted show at Juarez Oliva, Juarez,  taking place on 16/04/2044:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Mexico Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TVC Deportes, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Santiago Velarde (18 - 9 - 3) who hails from Ecatepec, Mexico and Juan Obando(26 - 8) from Juarez, Mexico.  Velarde weighed in at 130 pounds, while Obando weighed in at 130 pounds and 9 ounces.    As Obando came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Malvolio Pantano, and the three ringside judges are Quiqui Menor, Juan Romano and Ramiro Asuncion.
