Duncan Patillo vs Joe Lannon

Boxing Daily Report from the Eddie Burns promoted show at Rehman Shehata Gym, Los Angeles,  taking place on 07/04/2044:

Clearly Eddie Burns have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Duncan Patillo (8(3) - 0) who hails from Riverside, USA and Joe Lannon(1 - 2(1)) from Yonkers, USA.  Patillo weighed in at 147 pounds, while Lannon weighed in at 146 pounds and 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Michael Rice, and the three ringside judges are John Torrance, Lee Copland and Kieran Smail.  

Round 1: 

Patillo steps inside and lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Patillo slams a big left hook into Lannon's body.  LANNON IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Lannon now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Patillo is on target with a sharp left hook.  
Patillo manouvers his opponent into a corner.  Patillo lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND SENDS LANNON SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  Lannon recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Patillo pivots to the right of his opponent.  Lannon throws a right hook, but Patillo clinches his opponent.  Patillo is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Patillo lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Patillo is on target with a firm right hook.  
Patillo lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Patillo sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Patillo lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Patillo ties up his opponent.  Patillo leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Patillo pushes his forearm into Lannon's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Patillo to stop fouling.  
Lannon closes the distance.  Patillo lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND DOWN GOES LANNON!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  
Patillo crashes a hurtful left hook to his opponents liver.  Patillo ties up his opponent.  Patillo tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Lannon behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Patillo about fouling.  Lannon now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Patillo is looking to close the distance and drives a right hook into Lannon's body.  Patillo tries to land a right hook, but Lannon blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Lannon sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Patillo digs in a stinging left hook to Lannon's body.  Patillo ties up his opponent.  Patillo leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Patillo throws a left uppercut, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Patillo ties up his opponent.  Patillo leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Patillo uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Lannon behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Patillo is on target with a telling right uppercut.  LANNON WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Lannon recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Patillo closes the distance and lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Lannon almost instantly recovers. 
Patillo pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a left hook to Lannon's body.  
Lannon steps inside.  Patillo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Lannon attempts to land a left hook, but Patillo sidesteps and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Patillo digs in a telling right hook to his opponents body.  LANNON IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
Patillo is on target with a left hook.  
Patillo gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Patillo lands a solid left uppercut.  
Patillo drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  Patillo holds on to his opponent.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Patillo forces Lannon to back into the ropes.  Patillo is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Lannon's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Patillo SLAMS a big right hook into his opponents face.  LANNON WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Patillo is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Patillo lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a cross followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND LANNON IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He tries to rise on shaky legs but Lannon cant beat the count!  The winner by KO is Patillo!
