Boxing Daily Report from the AI Dominican Republic-Santo Domingo promoted show at Miguel Civil Gym, Santo Domingo Norte,  taking place on 01/01/2022:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Dominican Republic Minimumweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on CERTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Alfonso Montalvan (7 - 0 - 2) who hails from Santo Domingo Norte, Dominican Republic and Dario Merced(7 - 0 - 2) from Santo Domingo de Guzman, Dominican Republic.  Montalvan weighed in at 105 pounds, while Merced weighed in at 104 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Senon Barcenas, and the three ringside judges are Carlos Carreno, Diego Rodrigo and Nemesio Carrero.
