Juan Palomo vs Paul Connelly

Boxing Daily Report from the Ognjen promoted show at Bing Crosby Hall, San Diego,  taking place on 04/05/2044:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Juan Palomo (15(13) - 0) who hails from Ecatepec, Mexico and Paul Connelly(29(2) - 19(3) - 2) from Cleveland, USA.  Both Palomo and Connelly weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ricky Kinnon, and the three ringside judges are Noel Bertram, John Stein and Ricky Valle.  

Round 1: 

Palomo closes the distance.  Connelly throws a right uppercut, but Palomo ties up his opponent.  Palomo leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Palomo's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Connelly lands a left hook.  
Palomo walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Palomo drives a left hook into Connelly's body.  
Palomo digs in a stinging right hook to Connelly's body.  
Connelly is on target with a right hook.  Palomo ties up his opponent.  Palomo pushes his forearm into Connelly's face.  The referee warns Palomo and breaks the clinch.  
Palomo lands a right hook.  Palomo attempts to land a left hook, but Connelly blocks the shot and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Palomo lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Connelly throws a right uppercut, but Palomo clinches his opponent.  Palomo uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Connelly behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Palomo about fouling.

Connelly attempts to land a left uppercut, but Palomo sidesteps and counters with a firm right hook.  
Connelly throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Palomo gets on the inside.  Connelly connects with a right uppercut.  
Palomo steps inside and digs in a weighty right hook to Connelly's ribcage.  CONNELLY IS HURT!  
Palomo is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Palomo lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, DROPPING CONNELLY TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  It looks like Connelly has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Palomo lands a left hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Palomo digs in a sharp right hook to his opponents body.  
Palomo lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Palomo lands a right hook to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Palomo gets on the inside.  Palomo pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Palomo gets on the inside and lands two left uppercuts to the body, and one to the head.  Palomo holds on to his opponent.  Palomo leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Connelly's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Connelly's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Connelly hits home with a left hook.  Connelly now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Palomo throws a left hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Palomo clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Connelly pushes his forearm into Palomo's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Connelly.  
Palomo walks Connelly down, trapping him on the ropes.  Palomo pivots to the right of his opponent and hits home with a stinging left hook.  
Connelly throws a left hook, but Palomo clinches his opponent.  Palomo is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Palomo's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Connelly throws a right hook, but Palomo ties up his opponent.  Palomo is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The referee breaks up the clinch and lectures Palomo to stop holding.  
Connelly sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a cross.  
Palomo closes the distance and lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Palomo is looking to close the distance and tries to land a left uppercut, but Connelly dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.
