Alec Matonka vs Xayvion Shimpande

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Zambia-Lusaka promoted show at Antwan Lunguzi Gym, Lusaka,  taking place on 06/01/2022:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the Zambia Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on ZNBC, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Alec Matonka (9 - 1) who hails from Lusaka, Zambia and Xayvion Shimpande(4 - 3 - 2) from Lusaka, Zambia.  Both Matonka and Shimpande weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rich Kabaghe, and the three ringside judges are Luister Sibanda, Kadeem Magande and Ibeamaka Urbano.  

Round 1: 

Matonka lands a cross.
