Kadeem Kones vs Nwa Kariuki

Boxing Daily Report from the Ndovi Promotions promoted show at John Verdi Gym, Nairobi,  taking place on 05/01/2022:

Clearly Ndovi Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Kenya-Nairobi Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Kadeem Kones (7 - 3 - 1) who hails from Nairobi, Kenya and Nwa Kariuki(3 - 3) from Nairobi, Kenya.  Both Kones and Kariuki weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Yobachi Rubia, and the three ringside judges are Matt Kanyoro, Bob Mbiyu and Scott Merande.  

Round 1: 

Kones steps inside.  Kariuki lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head.  
Kariuki closes the distance and connects with a left uppercut.
