Paul McCleary vs Yevhen Lipko

Boxing Daily Report from the HONEYPUNCH promoted show at The O2, Dublin,  taking place on 21/05/2044:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the Irish Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on RET One, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Paul McCleary (18(14) - 3) who hails from Dublin, Ireland and Yevhen Lipko(23 - 17(8)) from Dublin, Ireland.  Both McCleary and Lipko weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Shane MacNevin, and the three ringside judges are Steven Stewart, Nathan Rafferty and Rob Nesmith.  

Round 1: 

Lipko steps inside.  McCleary digs in a firm left hook to his opponents ribs.  
McCleary lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Lipko closes the distance.  McCleary tries to land a left hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
McCleary hits home with a right hook.  
McCleary drives a stinging left hook into Lipko's body.  
Lipko is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  Lipko throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

McCleary walks Lipko down, trapping him on the ropes.  McCleary pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Lipko sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Lipko attempts to land a jab, but McCleary dodges the shot and counters with a right hook to his opponents body.  
McCleary is looking to close the distance and connects with a left hook.  McCleary tries to land a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
McCleary throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Lipko is looking to close the distance.  McCleary drives a right uppercut into Lipko's body.  
McCleary gets on the inside and digs in a left hook to Lipko's ribs.  
Lipko tries to land a cross, but McCleary sidesteps and counters with a stinging cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Lipko's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Lipko's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

McCleary gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  McCleary tries to land a right hook, but Lipko slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Lipko tries to land a right hook, but McCleary sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
McCleary lands with a solid jab.  
McCleary digs in a solid left hook to Lipko's liver.  
Lipko attempts to land a jab, but McCleary slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
McCleary steps inside and digs in a right uppercut to Lipko's ribs.  
Lipko quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  McCleary lands a big left uppercut.  LIPKO IS HURT!  Lipko almost instantly gets his legs back. 
McCleary manages to force Lipko into a corner.  Lipko lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
McCleary lands a stinging left uppercut.  
McCleary lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the head.  
McCleary lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
McCleary lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
McCleary attempts to land a jab, but Lipko slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
McCleary steps inside.  Lipko attempts to land a left hook, but McCleary sidesteps and counters with a spiteful cross.  IT LOOKS LIKE LIPKO WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
McCleary is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  McCleary lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS LIPKO SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 8.  Lipko now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
McCleary lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
McCleary hits home with a sharp left hook.  
McCleary lands a left hook to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Lipko gets on the inside and attempts to land a right hook, but McCleary blocks the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
McCleary lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Lipko throws a right uppercut, but McCleary ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, McCleary pushes his forearm into Lipko's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures McCleary about fouling.  
McCleary connects with a right hook.  
McCleary is looking to close the distance and lands a FIERCE left hook.  LIPKO IS DOWN!  HE TRIES TO RISE ON SHAKY LEGS BUT LIPKO CAN'T BEAT THE COUNT!  The winner by KO is McCleary!
