Lado Ayibonte vs Atif Nagib

Boxing Daily Report from the Skebenga Corp promoted show at Ticketpro Dome, Johannesburg,  taking place on 11/06/2044:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on SABC1, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Lado Ayibonte (23(21) - 0) who hails from Mitchells Plain, South Africa and Atif Nagib(21 - 6(2) - 2) from Port Said, Egypt.  Ayibonte weighed in at 125 pounds And 12 ounces, while Nagib weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is David Khumalo, and the three ringside judges are John Kisombo, Tlou Nqakula and Geoff Mpontshane.  

Round 1: 

Ayibonte tries to land a jab, but Nagib slips the shot and counters with a cross.

Ayibonte switches the action to the outside and hits home with an overhand right.  
Ayibonte finds the target with a jab.  
Ayibonte tries to step out of his opponents range.  Ayibonte sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a jab to the body, a cross to the head and a jab to the head.  
Nagib is on target with a cross.  
Ayibonte sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a jab followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Nagib attempts to land a right hook, but Ayibonte sidesteps and counters with a HUGE right hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE NAGIB WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Nagib forces Ayibonte to retreat onto the ropes.  Ayibonte sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  Ayibonte lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS NAGIB SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Nagib now seems to have his senses back.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Nagib's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Ayibonte is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Ayibonte lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body, KNOCKING NAGIB DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  Nagib now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Nagib walks Ayibonte down, trapping him on the ropes.  Nagib feints a jab, tricking Ayibonte into launching a left hook counter.  Nagib avoids the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Ayibonte pivots to the right of his opponent.  Ayibonte tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Nagib finds the target with a jab.  
Ayibonte is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Nagib walks Ayibonte down, trapping him on the ropes.  The right shot from Ayibonte could be enough to force the stoppage!  Ayibonte lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head, AND KNOCKS NAGIB DOWN!  He fails to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Ayibonte!
