Rogelio Silvestre vs Carlos Mercedes

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Argentina-Tucaman promoted show at San Miguel de Tucuma Mallen, San Miguel de Tucuman,  taking place on 01/05/2044:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Argentina-Tucaman Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV Publica, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Rogelio Silvestre (8(8) - 4) who hails from San Miguel de Tucuman, Argentina and Carlos Mercedes(9 - 6(1) - 1) from San Miguel de Tucuman, Argentina.  Silvestre weighed in at 112 pounds, while Mercedes weighed in at 111 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Neper Benavides, and the three ringside judges are Rodrigo Galea, Alejandro Cardiel and Ramirez Garcia.

Mercedes throws a right hook, but Silvestre ties up his opponent.  Silvestre throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Silvestre lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Silvestre ties up his opponent.  Silvestre throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Silvestre about fouling.  
Silvestre is on target with a solid right uppercut.  
Silvestre lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He then lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Silvestre quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a right uppercut.  
Mercedes feints a left hook, and then finds the target with a jab.

Silvestre sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the head, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Mercedes almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Silvestre forces Mercedes to retreat into a corner.  Silvestre SLAMS a VICIOUS right uppercut into his opponents face.  DOWN GOES MERCEDES!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  
Silvestre quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands two left hooks followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Mercedes's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Mercedes's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Silvestre lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head, DROPPING MERCEDES TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 6.  Silvestre holds on to his opponent.  Silvestre leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Mercedes's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Mercedes's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Mercedes sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Silvestre lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Mercedes quickly recovers.

Silvestre digs in a solid right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Silvestre hits home with a left hook.  
Silvestre advances into close range and is on target with a sharp right uppercut.  
Silvestre is on target with a sharp jab.  
Silvestre gets on the inside and lands two left uppercuts followed by a right hook to his opponents head, KNOCKING MERCEDES DOWN!  The count reaches 10, but Mercedes is unable to get up!  The winner by KO is Silvestre!
